The optimal frequency of top dressing is once every 3 weeks. It is better to alternate root and foliar dressings or supplement conventional foliar dressings.
For papinia, you can use not only special fertilizers for orchids. During flowering and during the dormant period, feeding is not carried out, but the rest of the time you can feed the orchid more specifically: with nitrogen fertilizers from spring to July, and phosphorus or ordinary orchids from August to November. For phalaenopsis, four-shield feeding is not a mandatory departure point. This orchid blooms both with regular fertilizer application during the phase of active leaf growth and vegetation, and with only 1-2 feeding in summer.
During flowering, and if a dormant period is issued, phalaenopsis tetraspis cannot be fed. But otherwise it’s better to use the standard strategy – to add fertilizer to the water in the standard dosage specified by the manufacturer at every third watering.
